"Once I began
making these
little red baskets
all lined up in a
row they
reminded me of
Andy Warhol's
Tomato Soup
Cans."

"This quilt has a
decidedly
contemporary
look, but it was
inspired by an
early
20th-century
quilt appliqued
with red squares
bouncing
erratically
around the white
background. I
found a way to
create the same
irregularity with
piecing. I
marked the quilt
with my
variations of
traditional
Welsh quilting
designs."

Our ceramic quilt tiles come ready to hang with a thin cork backing and sturdy
plastic tab hanger, allowing them to be hung or laid flat for use as a trivet.  
4.25" tiles come with cork back only.
These tiles come in a satin hardcoat finish.  Please note: if you would like a glossy
finish instead of satin, or an unbacked tile for installation, simply type "unbacked"
or "glossy" (or both) in the 'Message to Seller' text box while you are checking out.
We recommend glossy for decorative use and satin for decorative and functional
use (trivets, for example). Both finishes will tolerate hot pans and dishes. Glossy
may get fine scratches if abraded.
